I've just finished reading Teaching Yoga and I wanted to pass along my
sincere gratitude to Donna for having written this book. It came at
the perfect time for me personally! My business partner and I are in
the process of setting up a new yoga studio and the discussions this
book has prompted have been invaluable. We are both committed to
creating a safe and beneficial community for our students' yogic
explorations, so it's lovely to have some guidelines from someone who's
"been there, done that." We're looking forward to sharing some of the
Ethical Inquiries with our fellow teachers, so we can have open discussions that (hopefully) will help us avoid some of the pitfalls
Donna mentions.

I received Teaching Yoga as a Christmas present. Thank you for writing this book. It was long overdue for a person to put this information together, and should be a mandatory text for all yoga teachers, "yoga stars" included. I am certainly going to recommend it to my teachers, and will be using your sage advice to improve my teaching.

I'm in a teacher-training program and am reading your new book, Teaching Yoga, as part of a seminar on the ethics of student-teacher relationship. It's a wonderful and useful book, and I know your insights will add immeasurably to our seminar.
Part I: Understanding the Teacher-Student Relationship has struck such a clear, resonant bell within me that I felt compelled to write to you. My yoga teacher truly does hold my heart in her hands. Until reading your book, I thought that I was the only yoga student ever to feel this way. Thank you for your understanding!
